Privacy Policy

Chizzl (“we”, “us”) is an AI fitness app that provides physique scans, workout and meal plans, and an AI coach. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal data.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up we store your email address and an authentication identifier. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the identifier (and, where you allow it, name and email) provided by that service.
Profile & fitness data. Details you enter such as age, sex, height, weight, goals, logged workouts, and body-scan results.
Photos you submit for a body scan. Images are sent securely to our server and forwarded to our third-party AI provider (OpenAI, L.L.C., or Google LLC where Gemini models are used) solely to generate your estimate, only after you have agreed to that sharing. They are not stored as image files after analysis — only the resulting text estimate (e.g. physique rating, body-fat range) is saved to your history. See “Third-party AI processing” below.
Purchase status. If you subscribe to Chizzl Pro, our payments provider tells us whether your subscription is active. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

How we use your information

To create your account and authenticate you.
To generate physique estimates, workouts, meal plans, and coaching.
To track your progress and enforce fair-use limits (e.g. scan quotas).
To operate, secure, and improve the app.

Chizzl’s physique scans, AI coach, and AI-generated workout and meal plans are produced by third-party AI services. This section states exactly what is shared and when.

Who receives it. Your data is sent from the app to our own server, which forwards only what is needed to our AI processing providers: OpenAI, L.L.C. and, where we use Gemini models, Google LLC. Both are located in the United States. They act as processors on our behalf, may use the data only to return your result, are prohibited by their API terms from using it to train their models, and are contractually required to provide the same or equivalent protection for your data that this policy describes.

What is sent, by feature.

Physique scan. The photos you select for that scan, plus your age, sex, height, weight, and goal.
AI coach. Your profile, logged workouts and sets, personal records, body-weight log, your most recent scan result, and the messages you type into the chat.
Workout & meal plans. Your profile, goals, available equipment, injuries, dietary preferences and allergies, and your most recent scan result.

What is never sent to the AI providers. Your name, email address, authentication credentials, and payment or subscription details.

How it is collected and when it is sent. All of this data is data you entered in the app or that the app generated from your own logging. Nothing is sent to an AI provider in the background: it is transmitted only at the moment you use one of the features above.

Your consent, and withdrawing it. Before any of your personal data is sent to an AI provider for the first time, the app shows you a disclosure naming the data and the recipients and asks you to agree. You do not have to agree — if you decline, the rest of Chizzl (workout and meal logging, history, analytics, and the body map) keeps working and only the AI features stay disabled. You can withdraw your permission at any time in Profile → AI data sharing, which immediately disables those features.

Retention by the AI providers. Scan photos are processed transiently and are not stored as image files by us after your estimate is produced; we store only the resulting text estimate. Our providers may retain request data briefly for abuse monitoring under their own API terms, and do not use it to train their models.

Service providers

We rely on the following processors, each of which handles only the data needed to provide their function:

Google Firebase — authentication and database (profile, fitness, and scan-result storage).
OpenAI, L.L.C. and Google LLC (Gemini) — AI analysis of the stats, photos, and training data you submit, to produce your estimates, plans, and coaching replies. See the section above for the full detail and your consent choices.
PostHog — product analytics on how the app is used, to find crashes and improve features. Not used for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
RevenueCat — subscription management and entitlement verification.
Apple & Google — optional sign-in.

Data retention

We keep your account and fitness data for as long as your account is active. Body-scan photos are processed transiently and are not retained as image files after your estimate is produced.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Delete Account inside the app. This removes your profile, fitness history, and scan results from our systems. You may also email us at chizzlfit@gmail.com to request deletion.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). All AI requests run on our server so that API keys are never shipped in the mobile app. Access to your data requires a verified authentication token.

Children

Chizzl is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Chizzl provides estimates and general fitness guidance for informational purposes only. It is not medical advice. Consult a qualified professional before beginning any exercise or nutrition program.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
